Air Pollution Can be Harmful For Asthmatics.

Air pollution can significantly contribute to the development and exacerbation of asthma. When people with asthma breathe in polluted air, the irritants and particles in the air can trigger asthma symptoms, such as wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, and shortness of breath.

What Causes Air Pollution

Air pollution can include a range of pollutants, such as particulate matter (PM), ozone, sulphur dioxide (SO2), nitrogen oxides (NOx), and volatile organic compounds (VOCs). These pollutants can come from a variety of sources, such as vehicle exhaust, industrial emissions, wildfires, and even household cleaning products.

Particulate matter, which is made up of tiny particles that can be inhaled deep into the lungs, can cause inflammation in the airways and make it harder to breathe. Ozone, which is a gas formed when pollutants react with sunlight, can also irritate the airways and make breathing more difficult.

Children are more vulnerable to Asthma

Children and people who already have asthma or other respiratory conditions are particularly vulnerable to the effects of air pollution. Long-term exposure to air pollution can also lead to the development of asthma in some people.

Fight Asthma with RedAsh TV

Overall, reducing air pollution is an important step in preventing and managing asthma. This can be achieved through policies and regulations that limit emissions from sources such as vehicles and industry, as well as individual actions such as reducing the use of fossil fuels and avoiding exposure to indoor air pollutants. This is a long process and we don’t know how much time it will take. Meanwhile, we can take our precautionary measures so that the effects of air pollution don’t affect much.
