What is Asthma

Asthma is a chronic medical condition in which the air passages become constricted or blocked. The airways can become narrow, inflamed or swell up leading to difficulty in the natural flow of air. Sometimes extra mucus is also produced. All this leads to difficulty in breathing.

There are about 300 million asthmatics diagnosed in the world. It’s saddening to know that as per WHO, over 450,000 asthmatics die every year.
